Brisbane once again will be in full festive swing with the 2013 Brisbane Festival, from 7 to 28 September 2013.
The Brisbane Festival’s exciting culinary experience combines your love of the arts with fine cuisine. The partnering restaurants and bars have each created unique Festival flavour dishes reflecting the vibrancy of Brisbane.
The Spiegeltent will open its doors at South Bank for the duration of this year’s Festival. Showcasing the best in pop, rock, hip-hop, family entertainment, jazz, comedy and of course, the stars of the 9pm cabaret show – La Soirée. The spectacular travelling salon is the ultimate venue to unwind and revel in some of the best talent Australia and the world has to offer.
Santos GLNG City of Lights prepare to be moved and mesmerised by a sensational, brand new, light, laser, and special effects show to a dynamic soundtrack, cascading water and an exciting new live performance element at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt.
There will be aerial displays late in the afternoon and evening. This will build up to the iconic Sunsuper Riverfire fireworks extravaganza at 7pm, which will close the Festival on Saturday 28 September and will light up the city in a pyrotechnic explosion of colour to a rocking new soundtrack.
This event will intrigue, delight and inspire with a programme of acclaimed international and Australian artists and productions. Enjoy free outdoor events embracing dance, theatre, opera, classical music, circus, sideshow and contemporary music.
The Festival will be full of noise and colour, uniting hundreds of thousands of people in celebration with music and fireworks in Brisbane’s city centre and reverberating out to suburban streets, and backyards.
