Sand Safari With Airport Transfers

Let the magic and awe of this year’s Sand Safari experience take you on a journey to discover, imagine and explore the wonderful art of Sand Sculpting.

Over three weeks, the Surfers Paradise Foreshore and various locations across the Gold Coast will feature magnificent sand sculptures. The event will begin with the new edition of a Sand Trail across the Gold Coast, followed by the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships, and two week’s of activities and viewing at the Surfers Paradise Foreshore.

Sand Trail – Saturday 8 February to Sunday 2 March

14 locations across the Gold Coast will feature a spectacular sand sculpture. Ranging from as far North as Helensvale and as far South as Tweed Heads, no matter where you are there is a fantastic sculpture for you to visit.

Australian Sand Sculpting Championships – Friday 14 February to Sunday 16 February, 2014

Visit the Surfers Paradise Foreshore and witness Australia’s best sand sculptors in action as they compete in the third annual Australian Sand Sculpting Championships. Ten professional sculptors will mould and carve over 180 tonnes of sand into fantastic, crowd-pleasing works of art as they deliver their interpretation of the main theme, Myths, Legends and Fairy Tales.

Everyone is welcome to get in on the action with heaps of activities for families and children. Learn the ropes at beachfront sand sculpting with free daily sand sculpting workshops which will run from 10am to 5pm every hour, as well as sand art and sand bottle making activities for a small fee. Guests can also take part in voting for the People’s Choice Awards. And don’t miss the main attraction; a massive collaborative work that pits Australia against The World, as two teams battle it out in their interpretation of the main theme.

Once the sculptors have finished crafting their pieces of work, come and immerse yourself in all the wonderful sculptures along the Surfers Paradise Foreshore.

Plus, don’t miss the main attraction; a massive collaborative work that pits Australia against The World, as two teams battle it out over 4 days from Thursday 20 February to Sunday 23 February to sculpt the most popular piece in their interpretation of the main theme.
